BE Festival partners with The Electric Cinema this year to show a series of films directed by the famous Czech director, Milos Foreman.
The series of classic films directed by Milos Foreman that are being brought to The Electric Cinema, Birmingham, include Hair (1979) an anti-war rock musical showing on June 16th at 3pm, and Amadeus (1984) an Oscar winning film which depicts an inspired biopic of troubled composer Mozart and his fierce rival Salieri showing on June 23rd at 1pm.
The collaboration has been inspired by the son’s of Milos Foreman, The Foreman Brothers, arrival who are bringing their fantastic show Deadtown, a captivating blend of film, theatre and circus, to the Birmingham Repertory Theatre for its UK premiere.
On the 27th to the 29th of June, The Foreman Brothers will bring together an amazing cast of 20 acrobats, dancers, singers and musicians in the Wild West tale, Deadtown.
BE Festival is a yearly event which brings together some of the best performers from around Europe in Theatre, Dance, Visual Arts, Circus and Live Music. The event hosts workshops and food and returns better than ever for its 10 year anniversary this summer.
The festival runs over 5 days and creates a vibrant community, bringing together audiences, artists, circus, dancers, musicians, festival friends and delicious food from across the continent. The BE Festival community encourage discussion, challenge borders and celebrates the diversity of culture and performance.
