Completing the annual Great Birmingham 10K run is a great milestone to celebrate. Whether you run for personal health or in support of a charity, you’ll have the city cheering you on for a good cause.
You don’t have to be a professional, you can be a first timer, though a bit of training and practice is recommended! Get your shoes on and make each stride count.
If you’re looking for sponsorship, a great option is Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice. If you are placing yourself there is no minimum sponsorship, in fact, if you raise over £50 you’ll be entered into a grand draw full of running prizes. St Mary’s also offer a limited number of free entry places for individuals who are confident they can raise £200+. They also set you up with a running vest, unlimited support from fundraiser team members, training advice and refreshments after the race.
The sponsor money you raise will entirely go towards ensuring the best possible hospice care is available patients, families and carers throughout our community. This will in turn aid in creating a future where a high quality of life is available to everyone leading up to and at the end of life.
The run is 26th May 2019, warm-up begins at 10am with the run kicking off very shortly after. Run times are recorded electronically for each runner and you will receive an exclusive medal, t-shirt and goodie bag upon crossing the finish line.
