In just under five weeks, the Beer Central Festival will be arriving in Birmingham to celebrate beer, food and music from the online publication, We Are Beer. The Midlands event will feature in the city’s art quarter, 119 Digbeth, on the 5th to the 6th of July.
The event will feature a range of local and international breweries as well as pop-up kitchens and musical acts.
The brewers set to trade at the festival include names such as Big Drop, Black Iris, BrewDog, Glasshouse Beer Co, Twisted Barrel Ale and Wild Beer amongst many others, with more to be announced.
The Kaiser Chiefs will perform a DJ set on the opening night followed by performances by DJ Yoda, Hip Hop Karaoke and Ultimate Power across the rest of the event.
The food and drink each evening will be provided by a collection of food trucks and pop-up kitchens including Billy Franks, Serious Pig, Square Root, Starward, 19 Crimes, Beerwulf, Chapel Down, Hawkes Cider and Jack Links, Purecraft Bar & Kitchen, Baked in Brick and Original Patty Men. The event will also be welcoming a special guest, the culinary tour-de-force, Chef Brad Carter, who will be grilling up something special on Friday and Saturday night.
The tickets are available on the events website and gives you entry to the event itself, it covers your beers, you heard right, you are free to choose and taste hundreds of special beers as well as a selection of cider, whisky, wine, gin and soft drinks. A ticket also gets you a tasting glass, the festival magazine and access to the pop up kitchens and music acts.
For an evening, a standard ticket starts at £45 and, for the whole weekend, the ticket price is £100.
